Frequently asked questions

Plain-English answers so you can start, activate and use AI Right with confidence.

Getting started

What is AI Right™?
AI Right™ is an organisational home for AI adoption, designed particularly for SMEs and independent organisations. You start with a short assessment, then use a private Workspace that guides you through practical foundations, bringing your people with you, finding where AI can help and keeping improving.
Who is AI Right™ designed for?
SMEs and independent organisations that want a practical way to use AI better and manage it responsibly, without a dedicated AI team.
Do I need AI expertise?
No. Every question, action and template is written in plain language. One named person can run AI Right for an organisation.
How long does the assessment take?
About five to seven minutes, in one sitting.
Do I need to prepare anything before starting?
No. It helps to know roughly which AI tools people use, but you can add or change anything later.
What happens after I complete the assessment?
You receive a personalised readiness report, and your Workspace opens with work already started from your answers: an AI Policy for your review, the tools you identified in your AI Register, your AI Champion if you named one, and a prioritised 90-day plan.
Can I reassess my organisation later?
Yes. Reassessment is part of the annual review in your Workspace, and you can retake the assessment when your picture has changed.

Your Workspace

What is the AI Right™ Workspace?
Your organisation's private place to manage AI adoption: priorities, actions, AI opportunities, policy, register, people, progress and review, all in one place.
What does AI Right actually guide me through?
The dashboard always shows your next best step, and the 90-day roadmap orders the work: foundations first, then bringing people in and progressing opportunities, then review and improvement.
What should I do first after activating my Workspace?
Follow the next step shown on your Workspace Dashboard. For most organisations that means reviewing the AI Policy, confirming the tools in the AI Register and naming an AI Champion.
Do I have to use every feature?
No. Use what helps. The roadmap highlights what matters most for your organisation; everything else is there when you need it.
Can I update my AI Register and Policy over time?
Yes. Both are living records. Edit them whenever things change, and review dates remind you to look again.
How do AI Opportunities work?
Ideas come from AI Right suggestions, your own team and the Staff Hub. You can add a simple value estimate, prioritise, assign an owner and move worthwhile ideas into actions.
What is the 90-Day Roadmap?
A phased plan built from your assessment across 0 to 30, 31 to 60 and 61 to 90 days. Each step is a tracked action with an owner and due date.
What does AI Right™ Recognition mean?
Recognition shows your progress through the AI Right framework: Exploring, Establishing, Expanding and Embedded. It reflects progress within AI Right, not a certification. The Terms of Use explain this fully.
How is progress measured?
Through completed actions, the state of your foundations (Workspace Health), opportunities progressed, outcomes you record and your Recognition level.

People and the Staff Hub

What is the Staff Hub?
A simple page for employees with your AI guidance, the tools you choose to publish, a quick check on whether AI suits a task and a way to suggest AI opportunities.
Do employees need their own AI Right accounts?
No. Employees open the Staff Hub through a private link or QR code with no sign in.
How do I share the Staff Hub?
Switch it on in your Workspace. The Deployment Kit gives you the link, a QR code, a printable poster and ready-written wording for email, Teams or Slack, your handbook and onboarding.
What can employees see?
Only what you publish: your guidelines, the tools you choose to show and the task check. They never see your private Workspace.
Can employees suggest AI opportunities?
Yes. Suggestions arrive in your Workspace for management to review and decide what should progress.
Does AI Right monitor employees?
No. Staff Hub activity is shown to you only as anonymous totals, such as visits and checks run.
Can employees see confidential management information?
No. The Staff Hub is separate from the Workspace, and you can reissue the link at any time, which stops the old one working.

AI tools

Does AI Right provide AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot?
No. AI Right helps you manage the tools your organisation chooses to use.
Does AI Right approve AI tools for my organisation?
No. Your organisation decides. AI Right gives you a structured way to record, review and publish those decisions.
What does it mean when a tool is "under review"?
Your organisation has recorded the tool but has not yet decided whether and how it may be used.
Can we add tools ourselves?
Yes. Add tools to your AI Register at any time, and employees can request tools through AI Tool Requests.

Governance and advice

Does AI Right guarantee AI Act compliance?
No. AI Right helps you put practical foundations in place, but it does not determine or guarantee legal or regulatory compliance.
Is AI Right legal advice?
No. AI Right provides general organisational guidance. It does not replace legal, data protection, cybersecurity or other professional advice.
Will AI Right keep us informed about changes in AI?
Yes. AI Right provides participating organisations with relevant updates on developments in AI, regulation and sector practice that may affect their AI adoption. Updates are intended to help you understand what may need attention and are not a substitute for legal or other professional advice.
Does AI Right monitor regulatory changes for us?
AI Right provides relevant regulatory updates, important dates and practical information where these may affect AI adoption. It is not a comprehensive legal monitoring service and does not guarantee that every regulatory development applicable to your organisation will be identified. Organisations remain responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice where required.

Privacy and security

Is my organisation's Workspace private?
Yes. Only your organisation's authorised users can see it, plus authorised AI Right administrators for support.
Can partner organisations such as Chambers see my Workspace?
No. A partner sees programme-level information such as participation and aggregated progress, not your private responses, reports or Workspace content.
How is my data handled?
See the Privacy Notice for what we store, why, for how long and your rights. Read the Privacy Notice

Pricing and subscriptions

Is the assessment free?
Yes. You need a paid annual licence only to activate and use the Workspace.
Is pricing per user or per organisation?
Per organisation, banded by organisation size, with no per-user charge. Staff Hub users are not charged.
Which plan applies to me?
The band that matches your number of employees, shown on the Pricing page along with how VAT is displayed.
How long does access last, and does it renew?
Twelve months. Unless cancelled, the licence renews at the then current price for your size band.
What happens if I cancel or do not renew?
Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues for the rest of the term you have paid for. You can export a PDF snapshot of your records from the Workspace before it ends.
Are partner programme licences different?
Yes. Organisations taking part through a partner programme have access provided by that programme and do not buy Direct Access.

Support

Do I need an AI consultant to use AI Right?
No. AI Right is a guided self-service platform, designed so an organisation can get started without outside help.
Where do I start if I am unsure what to do next?
Your dashboard's next best step, the "What is this?" guidance on each page and the Resource Library are the best places to start.
Does AI Right provide consultancy or bespoke legal advice?
No. For billing or account problems you can email hello@airight.ie.
